Finely ground green tea powder with a distinctive green colour and tea flavour. Unlike brewed tea, you whisk the powder into water and drink the whole ground leaf. For matcha tea, lattes, smoothies, desserts, cakes and ice cream.

How to prepare

Put about 1–2g of matcha in a cup. Add water at about 70–80°C and whisk until it is evenly mixed and a light foam forms. For a latte, add milk. Do not use boiling water: very hot water makes it bitter.

Storage

Keep in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Close the pack tightly after opening.
