Afroase Fufu Plantain is a flour mix specially made for the quick and easy preparation of traditional African fufu. It contains plantain flour and produces the smooth, soft and stretchy consistency associated with traditional fufu.

Fufu is a popular staple in West and Central African cuisine and is traditionally served with a variety of African soups, stews and sauces, including Egusi Soup, Okra Soup, Ogbono Soup, Vegetable Soup, Palm Nut Soup and many others.

The large 4 kg pack is suitable for families, frequent use and catering.

Ingredients

Cassava flour, potato granules, flour/starch, plantain flour 5%, colour: E100.

Preparation Instructions

1. Add 2 parts water to a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat.
2. Add 1 part Afroase Fufu mixture to the boiling water.
3. Stir vigorously until the mixture becomes smooth, uniform and thick.
4. If necessary, add a small amount of boiling water and continue stirring until you achieve your preferred consistency.
5. Shape the prepared fufu into portions and serve warm with your favourite soup, stew or sauce.
